One of the longest serving members of Quebec footy, Ronan moved to Montreal from Ireland in early 2009. Hailing from a Rugby and Gaelic Football background but looking for a new challenge, Ronan switched his attentions to Australian Rules Football. Playing in the first ever Quebec Pre Season tournament in 2009 Shaughnessy instantly became hooked on Footy. He has since gone on to represent Ireland in Australian Rules Football at international level and is a regular with the Ottawa Swans in the OAFL.
Currently the Coach of the Old Montreal Dockers, Shaughnessy's emphasis is on enjoying the game while building a strong team ethic amongst the players both on and off the field. Shaughnessy also has coaching experience in Gaelic Football which he hopes he can use to his advantage in a strong Quebec Football League.
