DOHA: A sudden breakaway fastbreak drive by Christopher Guerrero in the last 18 seconds and an inbound ball interception by Michael Paderes lifted Power Horse Energy Drink to its victory over Batang Isarog, 75-72, to register its first win in the best-of-three championship series at the Division-1 of Subaru Cup 2012 of Pinoy Basketball Qatar (PIBAQ).

In the other game, Dukhan Ballers dominated its play and never looked back in the last quarter to mark its convincing win over KIA Motors , 87-74, in the Division 2 version of the best-of-three championship series at the Al Gharafa Training Gym.

The two winning teams are just a game away to capture the coveted championship crown for this exciting season.

In the battle for third place, Flamin’ Go survived a thriller over Natsco Garagae , 64-63, in the Division 2 while Manila Express Cargo-One Family took the plum via win by default when Team Creation and Concepts did not show up in the game.

Power Horse however did not took away the victory in a silver platter as Batang Isarog refused to budge and fought out all the way to stay close to the deficit until the surprise heroics of Guerrero and Paderes to the remaining seconds before the final buzzer.

Dukhan Ballers, for their part, was dominating with 10-point advantage over KIA Motors in the first quarter behind the 10-point production of Erminio Bigkas while Jeff Roman also waxed hot in the third quarter with his 13 points.
