The game commenced in cold conditions and remained that way for the duration of the game. The ladies were very friendly on the green so much so that they were observed holding hands and dancing down the green which amused the small band of supporters. The prescence of Shirley's coach and his responsibilities had the umpire of the day browsing the Rule book which was also a topic of conversation by officials and supporters. Another concern was the evidence of slow play which I hope will be addressed by the players as they continue with their career. Shirley was the eventual winner with the final result being 24-13.
