The Kew East Basketball Club (KEBC) consists of boys and girls domestic basketball teams ranging from Under 9’s to Under 21’s. These teams are lodged seasonally into the Summer and Winter junior competition of the Hawthorn Basketball Association (HBA). The teams are allocated a Division by the HBA – depending upon their age group and their team’s prior performance.

The Team Manager’s role is essential to the smooth running of your team. The primary role is to manage the administrative aspects of the operation of the basketball team. The coach’s role is to coach the team and make decisions about the team on match day and at team training sessions. The Team Manager needs to be available to provide support, suggestions, and consult with the coach as necessary.

The Team Manager is responsible for providing team information to the players’ parents and the coach, and is also the contact and liaison person for the KEBC.

The current KEBC Committee Members, listing their positions and their contact details are located here.

It is recommended that the role of the Team Manager is rotated every one or two seasons, however, some teams have long-standing Team Managers who are happy to undertake the role for a longer period of time.

The following guidelines are provided to ensure the successful operation of your team. There are initially a few tasks to undertake, particularly at the beginning of a season, however, once these are undertaken the team can get on and enjoy their basketball season.

Thank you for volunteering your time to perform the team manager role, and please don’t hesitate to contact the Team Coordinator if you require any further information or clarification on the information provided on this website.
