Season 2010/11

The 2010/11 Season finished on a hot, then soggy, then fine and mild note in early February!

After a terrific summer of amazing football, we couldn't take a trick from the weather man as Melbourne endured a scorching weekend for the first round of the VCL Championship Series, followed by bucketing rain and flooding at Bendigo for the second round.  Whilst we coped well with the heatwave, thanks enormously to the understanding, patience and flexibility of our wonderful players, parents, coaches, referees and administrators, the drowned out car park at Bendigo's Epsom facility was deemed unsafe and the second round of the Championship Series was unable to go ahead.

Fortunately, the subsequent 'finals contingency' weekend was fine and mild and many of us returned to Bendigo to enjoy one last week of summer football - Victorian junior football at its absolute best.

Gold Medal night was again a wonderful occasion, with so many of our future champions acknowledged for their fine team and individual performances.

Having concluded our third season of Zone Representative Football, we now look forward to rolling out another great summer in 2011/12.

A full summary of results and award winners will be published below soon, and a new page established to house important information about the coming season.

Our thanks to everyone involved in the VCL - there is a wonderful and extensive army of supporters who give extremely generously of their time to help foster the development of our talented young players.
