TRARALGON CITY SOCCER CLUB APPOINTS SENIOR COACHING STAFF

Traralgon City Soccer Club has proudly appointed Mr Duncan Hanlon as Senior Coach for the 2013 Season.  He will be supported by Mr Nick Walsh as the Under 21’s Coach and Mr Adam Batt as Assistant Coach for both teams.  Mr Alfie Fenna will continue as the Women’s team coach for another season.

The Club enjoyed good results in the season of 2012 with all men’s senior teams making the finals.  With a good balance of experienced players and strong contingent of youth within the teams, the playing group will continue to develop and only improve in season 2013.

A short pre-season training will commence on the 13 December, 2012 at the Traralgon City home ground on Davidson Street, commencing at 6:30pm.  All past, present and new players are welcome.  The 2013 season starts on 15 January with pre-season games against Pakenham, Langwarrin and Inverloch, and an entry into the annual Kendall Cup held at Sale City Football Club in a lead up to the season ahead.

Mr Bill Van Der Staay, who has recently been elected as Club President, is confident that the club will continue to grow.  Last season Traralgon City S.C. was recognised as one of the largest clubs in the Gippsland region, with over 185 junior players and 80 senior players.  The Club is promoting growth through the introduction of girl’s teams for the Under 14 and Under 17 age groups next season and expects continuing strong numbers across the other teams.

Anyone interested in joining or assisting Traralgon City S.C. can contact the club via our Facebook page or call Bill Van Der Staay on 0439 350 331 or Duncan Hanlon on 0427 657 641.
