For our junior members who have registered for our Beginner Trainings, we will be starting on Thursday 2 May 2013 for 7 weeks.
Coach Matt Johnston (Townsville Crocs Apprentice Coach & current Qld North U16 Boys State Coach) will be travelling down from Townsville each Thursday and will deliver the program with the help of Junior Club Coach Sharon Bozzetto. Training times are detailed below:

It’s that time of year again!! Burdekin Amateur Basketball are asking any of their Grade 7 Members who would like to be our Junior Water Festival Ambassador for 2013 to step forward. Junior ambassadors must be in Grade 7 and must be a resident of the Burdekin district. Nomination Forms at are below. Nominations must be with the BABI Committee for Tuesday night’s meeting 16 April 2013

A Reminder to complete the 'beginner training expression of interest' forms for those who are interested in some training (Burdekin Junior Hoops 2013 attached). The sessions at this stage will be most likely be Thursdays 3.30-4.30pm on Court 1 - please await starting date. Bear with us whilst we wind up our Representative Season.

Junior Sign on for 2013 will be at the Stadium at 4 to 6pm, Wednesday, 30 January & 6 February 2013. Games will commence Wednesday, 13 February 2013. Under 8's will commence Wednesday, 20 February 2013. Payment for players will be required on sign on. Further details below

2013 START DATES TBC. Mondays at Burdekin Basketball Outside Courts, 3.45pm-5.00pm. Please bring your own basketball if you have one & a water-bottle & hat. Basketballs are on sale at the stadium @ $15 on Wednesdays should you need one. Sharon will also have some with her to purchase. All children up to 14 years of age & women use size 6 balls. Boys & men from 14 years & up use a size 7

Training with Teresa is on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3.30pm to 5.00pm commencing next week 18th September 2012.
This is open to any club players in the above age groups interested in improving their game skills.

Girls born 2000 and 2001 are invited to attend open trainings starting this Thursday 6.9.12 at 6.45 am - 8am with Sandra Wight - contact Sandra on mobile 0438 836511 if anyone needs assistance getting their children to school after this session.

Nominations are now open for 2012-13 Representative Season Junior Representative Coaches and Managers. Please collect a nomination from from Games Control or download - see Junior Rep Program tab. Nominations close 29 August 2012.

Mondays at Burdekin Basketball Stadium, 3.45pm-5.00pm. Open to boys and girls and will include fitness training and all aspects of the game of basketball. Please bring your own size 6 ball, towel, water bottle and hat to each training session.

Congratulations to Matthew Wight, Alicia Kirk, Annette Higginson & Molly Barbagallo (Shadow) who have been selected onto the 2012 Queensland North U16 Men's and Women's State Teams. Congratulations also to Sandra Wight on being selected as the Men's Manager.
