Day 8 - Judo - Men's +100kg - Nazario Fiakifonu - Vanuatu
24 year-old Nazario Fiakifonu represented Vanuatu in the Men’s +100kg Elimination Round of 32 at the ExCeL Stadium in the London 2012 Olympic Games yesterday. Fiakifonu faced 32 year-old Marius Paskevicius of Lithuania, who scored an Ippon in the short one minute and four second long match, giving Paskevicius an automatic qualification to the next round. Unfortunately Fiakifonu's 2012 Olympic Journey is finished, he should be very proud to make it this far on such a high platform, and we wish him the very best of luck for his future matches!
