Isobel Davison wins her 3rd Club Singles Title

Last Wednesday and Thursday the ladies played their Championship Singles. In the mornings play Judy Gove defeated Nette Kumnick, Isobel Davison defeated Debby Barling and Edna Anderson defeated Shirley Liersch.

The competition got stronger in the afternoon and there was some very good bowling. Doris Kranz defeataed Jill Bibby 25-20, Judy Gove defeated Mary Ginnane 25 - 20 and in the third match it was very close between Isobel Davison and Edna Anderson. Isobel maintained the lead with some very good draw bowling, but Edna in with her experience continued to put the pressure on. Isobel held game 24 - 18 on the 25th end but Edna took out the second shot and continued and won the next two ends  24-22. Edna held two shots which would of made 24 all but Isobel played a dead draw bowl and scored two shots. A great game to watch.

The final was a little of a anti climax, Judy could not get the pace of the green and Isobel continued on her merry way with consistent draw bowling and won the game 25-8.

Congratulations to all the girls for entering.

Bad luck Guys, but you did beat one of the south teams. There is always next season.

On Wednesday the team of Isobel Davison, Mary Ginnane, Judy Gove and Edna Anderson had a victory in the North Wimmera Championship Fours. A popular win I believe.
