Vik began playing when NSBA was first established in 1981, and started refereeing in 1985.

He lived in the USA for 3 years (1993-95), where he played and refereed basketball in Michigan

Since returning to Australia, he has continued his association with NSBA in both a Playing and refereeing capacity through to today.

He has been a Judiciary tribunal member and is currently the Vice President of NSBA.

When asked what is his most memorable part of Norths, he said “When NSISC was established, before then we were like gypsies going from one venue to the other. I’m looking forward to our future venue that will take Norths to even greater heights. Of course, being on the board now must rate as one of my memorable experiences as well!”

Vik was awarded Life Membership in 2013.
