Graeme Reid

Graeme started playing at Norths in 1987, and became Judiciary Tribunal Chairman in 1988. In 1989, he was elected Vice President and then President in 1990. He is NSBA’s longest serving President, stepping down in 2000 after 10 years, but resuming the role in 2012. He has also served as a Director from 2006, and Finance Director since 2010.

He became our Conference Tribunal Appeals Chairman when NSBA became a conference in 1997, a position he has held ever since.

Graeme was given the Ministerial Sports Appreciation Award in 1994 by the NSW State Government and the Australian Sports Medal by the Australian Government in 2000. In 1999, he was made a Life Member of NSBA.

He has coached numerous teams in our domestic competitions as well as many Junior and Senior Representative teams. He was coach of the Under 23 Women’s State Champions in 2000, where he was undefeated for the entire season. This is North’s only senior women’s state title to date.

Graeme was the first GSC, initially working 3 days a week, but now he has cut back to only 1 day. He continues to referee and is the only player to have played in every Unisex competition since it started in 1991.

He was one of the key people responsible for the development of the NSISC.
