Sue started playing in our domestic competition and was one of the Senior players to attend coaching clinics run by Steve Carfino. They must have been quite good, as Sue rapidly moved up the ranks of our Women’s program to Division One.

At the same time, she began refereeing. Refereeing at both domestic and representative level, Sue was rapidly promoted, becoming the highest level female referee in the history of Norths.

She did not neglect other areas of involvement at Norths, taking over as Treasurer and Board member when Stephen Smith stepped down.
