Ken started coaching his two eldest sons, David and Chris, in our local Under 16’s and 18’s with the Pacmen. He then became Assistant coach to Graeme Reid when Chris and Dave were runners up in Sydney Juniors U18s in 1997.

The most important thing to happen to him at this time was to be "forced to provide referees", now a huge part of his life, having been given the opportunity to referee all over Australia: Masters Games Alice Springs, Australian Masters in Melbourne, Pan Pacs on the Gold Coast and 2009 World Masters in Sydney. Recently, Ken has been introduced to wheelchair basketball refereeing.

Ken said “I get a huge kick out of coaching junior refs and hope they will pick up the good points. I have also met a large number of people who have been a big part of my life for the last 16 odd years and will continue to do so for many more.”
