FREE Basketball Introductory Session for Primary Schools

 

NSBA Development coaches are available to visit any Primary School in Northern Suburbs area to conduct an introductory session.  In return we ask for NSBA advertising to be included in your Schools Newsletter.

 

To organise your session please contact Macs (development@nsba.com.au) and provide dates of attendance and year groups.

 

The school visits program is aimed at introducing basketball to juniors, and nuturing a love of healthy lifestyle, physical activity and positive relationship.  Our programs are specifically designed to include fiundamental skills and movements important to both basketball as well as gross and fine motor skills in growing children.

Skills Overview:

• Fundamental Movement (Running, jumping, agility)
• Ball Skills (dribbling, passing, shooting)
• Spacial awareness
• Teamwork/Relationships
• Problem Solving
• Decision Making

Norths Basketball has a strong history of providing grass roots development basketball to nuture future athletes in the community.  In recent years our school visits has been in hibernation, 2017 saw the relaunch of our school visits program.

Northern Suburbs Basketball is the NSW sanctioned association for the North Shore area and allows your school to access government funding for grassroots sport.

Sporting Schools is a $200 million Australian Government initiative designed to help schools to increase children's participation in sport, and to connect them with community sporting opportunities.

Sporting Schools is committed to helping sport, schools and communities work closer than ever to increase sport delivery and participation in schools.
