Red Cross - PROJECT DEFIB
As part of our efforts to make club environments safer and more community minded, we have agreed to distribute information on behalf of Red Cross about access to funding for their Project Defib.
The project is to help clubs access funding and then purchase a defibrillator at subsidised cost to be available at the club venue.
“Every year an alarming number of Sudden Cardiac Arrests occur in our sporting clubs. Statistics have proven that immediate access to a defibrillator can lead to over 70% survival rate if applied within minutes of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest*. Current survival rates for out-of -hospital cardiac arrest are only 1 to 5 percent when a defibrillator is not available”.
It is a worthy cause to prevent loss of life due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
