The Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands (BANMI) is the National Federation for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for the sport of basketball since 1980. We have always maintained accredited memberships with the Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association (NMASA), the Micronesian Basketball Confederation (MBC), FIBA Oceania and FIBA, the world governing body for basketball that is recognized as the sole competent authority in basketball by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). BANMI is proud to be part of the 213-strong worldwide FIBA family of basketball national federations.
