Trials for Age groups:

    All Girls (U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 & U21) - 6^th December from 5pm-6.30pm at Trust Stadium

    U11 & U13 Boys – 7^th Dec from 5.30-7pm at Trust

    U15, U17, U19 & U21 Boys – 7^th Dec from 7pm-8.30pm at Trust

    Cost to trial: $3 each player.

Merger of 2 Great Basketball Associations - the Future of Basketball out WEST!!

Great and Exciting news West Auckland Basketball Association (WABA)is merging with Basketball Waitakere City (BWC). The respective boards are pleased our west based associations are combining to make an even stronger basketball association. Please read the statement put out by the two boards attached. Thank you.

Hi all

Thanks you all for attending our first Talent ID day for U15 boys. It was a
great turn out given there were still a few boys missing.

You will see on our website (West Auckland Basketball) there was suppose to be
another Talend ID/Trial day. This has been cancelled as the court was double
booked and is now unavailable this Sunday for both our U13 & U15 Boys.

I will send another email out to you all once i can confirm new date and time.

What a week for our Boys, we knew we had a chance and it was obvious that we were one of the top teams at the competition.

Winning 5 of our 6 games was not the result we were looking for BUT coming 3rd in New Zealand ahead of larger associations is still a great result.

Well Done to our Boys for coming 3rd at Nationals U13 for 2010.

Congratulations to our very own U15A Boys Team in defeating Harbour in the final to take out the Regionals and are crowned 2010 Zone Regional CHAMPS !!

U13 GIRLS

WELL DONE to our Girls who have won 4 Games from 4 Games this weekend. they will play North HArbour A tomorrow morning at 11.20am to decide who will be the Regional Champions for 2010.

Coach Kaye is really pleased with their progress this tournament, though the girls game against Auckland A this afternoon had its moments of frustration despite the grils winning 49-24

U13 Boys
Our U13 A Boys Team (Blue) had a great start to the weekend.
They played 2 games and won both games with scores over the 100 mark.
The 2nd game they won 188-22 against Waitakere B.

Our U13 Boys B Team (White)started their camaign against Waitakere A and went down to one of the top teams who played a Full Court Press on our development team and it paid off for them.

This was an exciting day for the club as many of the unbeaten teams were matching up.

The trip south proved successful as the three under 11 teams all won! It was great for the U11 White team to record their second win as they played the only other B team in the competition and had a comfortable win. The girls had a great hard fought win over Harbour as we had all of...

Another excellent day for West Auckland Basketball with 5 out of 6 teams winning.

Once again the U17B boys won, being to classy for the Waitakere C team for a 4-1 record thus far!
They play Harbour B next week which should be a thriller – good luck.
