2012 Snap Shot
2012 saw the employment of the first Business Office Manager. This role was to continue to develop the Association’s operations and to reflect the growing needs of the Member Clubs. Jo Chu started this role in January and with the continued assistance of Alison Romas, Sue Scott, David Bacon and Jim Kafkalakis has made massive in-roads in the progression of the Association. A new relationship was formed with Gavin Smith (website & graphic designer) who was pivitol in the re-branding of the Association by both re-designing our logo and website.
This year had a number of worthy achievements:
- A new Constitution adopted
- A larger office space (under the Templestowe RSL)
- Bragging rights as the largest junior association within Australia reaching 1032 teams
- The inaugural Referees Forum – bringing together all referee branches aligned to the EDJBA to discuss the development and support of referees within the EDJBA
- Re-branding of the EDJBA – thanks to Gavin Smith (Eltham)
- The creation of two part-time roles – Competitions Administrator and Fixtures Officer
- The Launch of our new website to reflect the re-branding of the EDJBA
- The use of only four volunteers as opposed to up to 20 grade secretaries:
- Genni Werninghaus – Nunawading
- Megan Callinan – Bulleen
- Nicole Bailey – Nunawading
- Katherine Andrews – Collingwood
