The U22 Summer League Play-offs was very competitive. The Day started off with all age groups team training on 2 man and 3man Offensive Skills which included Off Ball Screens and Dribble At,Give and Go.
The system of the U22 Play-offs was round robin, and the two teams with the best records; wins,points for,point
against and points difference will advance into the finals.The U22 Playoffs started the days action as Wolves played against Griffins in the first U22 game. Wolves came back from a lose to Soldiers last week to pick up their first league win against the Griffins who also lost to Soldiers last week.This time around it was wolves who came out aswinners in their first Play-off game by 15pts to 6pts against the Griffins. Wolves played great Team defense in both halves and kept Griffins to only 6 baskets in the 24minutes game. For Wolves it was Kena Marley 6'1,Charles Fordjour 5'11,Sydney Larbie 5'10,Eric Kafui 6'3, and Dennis Boateng 6'3 who were on the boards for Wolves.

45minutes after the Wolves victory over Griffins they faced off the number 1 seed of the league Soldiers who were coming into their first Play-off game as the favourite after winning all their two games in the preliminary round. Soldiers did show their dorminance through out the game and once again displayed great team offense but most of the time lacked in their defense which gave Wolves the chance to come back to close the gap in the last two minutes of the second half. At the end Wolves couldn't hold the offense of the Soldiers and once again ended up loosing to the Soldiers 13pts to 18pts in favour of the Soldiers.

The last game to decide the two finalist for the U22 Summer League Play-offs Finals was between the Soldiers and the Griffins. Both Teams had played each other in the preliminaries and Soldiers won that encounter by 8pts hence Soldiers also came into this game as favourites once again. But all was to change as Griffins were determine to atleast pull off their first win in the league.At this stage Wolves and Soldiers had one win each in the play-offs and that would mean that if Soldiers should win this game they will be going into the finals with Wolves because then Griffins would have finished the Play-offs without a win. This was not going to be the script, Griffins pulled off the surprise of the entire League. Griffins played the best Team defense of the Summer League in this game as they held the favourites Soldiers to just one point at the end of the first 12minutes. The first half ended 15pts to 1pt in favour of the Griffins and the audience made up of other players from the various U16 and U22 Teams and some parents and visitors could not hold themselves from clapping to every offensive and defensive move of the Griffins. It was a shock and the Soldiers were caught by surprise. With all their Offensive attacking abilities they couldn't penetrate to make a single field go at the half. Their only point in the half came through a free throw taken by David Maja 6'2 who kept pushing at the Griffins basket but was consistently denied by the Griffins big man Nana Bissue Yankah 6'3 who would eventually emerge as the U22 Leagues most Defensive Player. The second half started and after 6minutes the Soldiers had still not been able to get a field goal. The Griffins kept up the pressure on defense and communicated on defense on every move of the Soldiers. To the surprise of all espercially the Soldiers the game ended 23pts to 1pt in favour of Griffins. The whole Griffins Team deserve credit for their team effor both on offense and on defense and they couldn't have done it without each other. Griffins team included Zugah Wisdom 5'7,Joseph Nii Armah 5'11,Nana Bissue Yankah 6'3 Sena Asante 6'0, Solomon Patrick Allotey 6'0. With this result all the three teams were paired on one win and one loss each and it took points-for and point-against to determine the two teams playing in the U22 finals.The surprise for the soldiers was not over as they missed out on the finals because they worst points difference with -17, as against 4 of Wolves and 13 of Griffins. 

The finals was now set and it was between Wolves and Griffins, two teams who had met each other some few hours ago in the first Play-off game.Wolves made sure there wasn't going to be any more surprises as they managed to keep up with the Griffins who seemed to be highly motivated after their big win over the Soldiers.Griffins worked hard on offense and defense but missed alot of open look baskets kept them trailing closely to Wolves through out the last part of the first half and the entire period of the second half. Dennis Boateng 6'3 of the Wolves team placed his team on his shoulders and finished with 5 for 7 from 2point range . He finished with 12points 1 rebound to pick up the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the U22 League. Sena Asante who dorminated the game for Griffins during the first 7minutes of the first half went cold through out the second half but hit a big three pointed in the last 30 seconds of the game after Griffins came back from their last time out of the game. The long range shot reduce the gap to just 3points but it wasn't enough to stop the Wolves from winning the U22 Summer League Championship Title and earning the right to wear the Championship  T-shirt. All was not lost for the Griffins as their big man Nana Bissue Yankah 6'3 emerged as Most Defensive Player with 6points 5rebounds in the final game. The Wolves winning Team included: Dennis Boateng 6'3,Kena Marley 6'1,Sydney Larbie 5'10,Charles Fordjour 5'11, Eric Kafui 6'3, Kwame Ofosu Boateng 5'11. Most of these young talented prospects will be in the scouting reports of Dynasty Basketball Association and with their continuous effort can make it into some of the top college leagues and professional teams around the world.
