The Competition

'The Womens Basketball League London endeavors to provide participation opportunities that enable every female player, coach, official and supporter to reach their full potential in London.'


 


The Womens Basketball League London (WBLL) is a new womens competition catering for senior female players.


League games will be played on Sunday's at a central venue over a 12 week season plus four weeks of finals. The league will take place at Brunel University Sports Complex, Kingston Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex and Reynolds Sports Centre, Acton. The season will commences in the first weekend of January and finishes at the end of April.


Jump ball times on Sundays would start at 1.15pm, 3.00pm and 4.45pm.


Teams will be expected to arrive early, get changed and stretch and be ready for the scheduled jump ball time. Naturally, if there are any games which require overtime, the schedule would run slightly late.


The Entry Fee to enter the WBLL will be £500PER TEAM . Teams will have to pay £50 match fees per match for the regular season games and playoffs. The total fees for the season will include the following:


- All traditional match day expenses (Court Fees, Referees Fees & Table Officials Fees)


- Referees and Table Officials will be appointed and paid for centrally by the WBLL


- Entry Fees to both League and Play-Off Championships


The league entry fee is due on the 8th January 2010


The following costs are not included in any league entry fees:


- Club training fees at their own courts


- EB Club Affiliation Fee (Senior Clubs: £61.50 Junior Clubs: £46.50p for the season)


- EB Individual Registrations (Seniors: £10 Juniors: £5.00 for the season)
