New South Wales Touch Football would like to congratulate the following players on their selection in the 2012 State of Origin teams to compete against the Queensland at the 2012 State of Origin to be held in conjunction with the National Youth League on Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd of September in Port Macquarie.

Please be advised that the Board has reached a final decision on how the four (4) teams to represent the New South Wales Touch Association at the biannual Elite 8 event commencing in March 2011 at Port Macquarie will be made up.

Shortly the New South Wales Touch Association will unveil how it intends to select the four teams allocated to NSW by the national body in the new biannual Elite 8 competition.

The Board of the New South Wales Touch Association invited members of the Queensland Touch Association to a meeting on Thursday May 27th to discuss and finalise a solution to the date for the 2012 State of Origin.

The NSWTA, as part of their ongoing talent identification process, announce updated state squads twice yearly. Firstly following the NTL and secondly following the State Cup.

The Board of the NSWTA has discussed a number of recommendations designed at looking at ways and means of refreshing and looking to possibly increase numbers participating at future Country Championships. Feedback is requested.
