2010 Newest NRL Centre Referee for Round 26
On Sunday the 5th of September in Round 26 of the NRL at AAMI Park in Vic, the Storm play the Knights, we will see the latest NRL Referee make his debut, with Gavin Morris as the Centre Referee, Gavin started his refereeing in Queensland and now lives in Sydney, his NSWRLRA number is 952, he made his NRL debut as a S/O, in round 10, with the NZ Vs Cowboys in Auckland, plus Steve Chiddy makes 300.

2010 Bernard Sutton Retires from Refereeing
After 37 NRL games as a referee and 17 as a sideline official Bernard Sutton has retired. His debut into the NRL was as a sideline official when the Warriors hosted the Penrith Panthers, in round 15, 2007 in Auckland. His debut as a referee was Canberra Raiders V Cronulla Sharks, in round 25 2007 in Canberra. Bernard was graded in 2003 his NRL number is 94 and his NSWRLRA number is 894

2010 NSWRLRA Bowls Day
Newcastle V NSW Refs Bowls Day was held last Sunday 29 August at Carrington Bowling Club - Newcastle. Nearly 80 players took part in the day, with notable players such as Jack Danzey, John Gocher, Ian Macall, Brian Gately, and Bomber Peard, led the way for NSW, but were no match for the Newcastle team which contained former Country Rugby League players like Karl Hutchison and Allan Dagwell

2010 Money Raised for Charities
The NSWRLRA has raised $1000 for 2 of the NRL Referees Charities, Both Brave Hearts and "Pink Ribbon" Breast Cancer Foundation have received $500 each, from the sale of the NRL Pink Referees Jerseys.
Cheques were presented to Chris James of the NRL Squad by the Director of Marketing and Communications for the NSW Rugby League Referees Association.

2010 NRAS Level 2 Referee Course and Providers Meeting
Please be advised that the next NRAS Level 2 Referee Course will be at Sports House on 16-17 October. There will be a Laws Quiz at the start of the course to see if they have been prepared. Adam Gee became the NRL’s 108th match official when he ran in the N.Z. Warriors v Nth Qlnd Cowboys match in Auckland. Although debuting as a Sideline Official, Adam’s primary role has been refereeing in the Toyota Cup. He is the NRL’s third debutant for 2010.
