2010 Drastic Measures to protect Referees
PART-TIME "bodyguards" and undercover cameramen will be deployed to junior rugby league matches across the state to protect referees.
The radical move comes as it can be revealed dozens of teenage footy players are being sent off across NSW every weekend for abusing referees and fighting. Junior clubs are introducing extreme measures to curb the violence, including "naughty chairs" for coaches

2010 Jeff Wakka Younis does his 150th NRL Game
On Saturday the 10th of July in Round 18 of the NRL match at Brookvale with Manly v Canberra, Jeff Younis officiated in his 150th NRL Match. Adam Gee became the NRL’s 108th match official when he ran in the N.Z. Warriors v Nth Qlnd Cowboys match in Auckland.
