Olympic Qualifiers from Oceania

Four Australians are confirmed as qualifiers in the doubles Leanne Choo, Renuga Veeran, Ross Smith and Glenn Warfe. Warfe and Smith claimed the Oceania place in the Men's Doubles, 33 in the world rankings, while Choo and Veeran also took the Oceania place for the Women's Doubles with a world ranking of 35.

Australia may make it five with Victoria Na who has taken the first provisional qualifier spot in the womens singles based on 3 May's World Rankings, if Michelle Chan (NZL) turns down her invitation then Victoria will take the last confirmed spot based on ranking regulations, as well as being Oceania's top representative without hindering the two Continental Qualification tickets that have been awarded to her teammates in the men's and women's doubles.

While the Australian players have now qualified for London 2012 their qualification must still be accepted by the Australian Olympic Committee.

New Zealand players on the other hand have a very hard qualification, not only do they have to qualify under the BWF Olympic qualification system but their NOC has a very tough qualification system in place and even though Michelle Chan and James Eunson are named as the top representatives from Oceania they will have a tough ask to get past the NZOC qualification system.
