New Zealand win Oceania Teams Event

The Oceania team's event started back in 1997 as an Individual event only. Then in 1999 the then President of Oceania, Roy Ward donated a trophy in honor of Mr and Mrs J Robson which stands today as the Oceania teams trophy "Robson Shield".

The inaugural event was in 1997 in New Zealand then going to Australia in 1999 where a teams and Individuals competition was held for the first time. In 2002 was in Suva, Fiji followed in 2004 and 2006 back in New Zealand.  It has been held for the first time this year in New Caledonia.

Renee Flavell & Donna Cranston (NZ) beat Leisha Cooper & Erin Carroll (AUS)        21-13, 16-21, 21-17
