Shell NBL Division Finals
In the Division I playoffs, the 4th seeded Breakers pulled an upset against the 1st seeded Styxers to win a bid to the finals, while the 3rd seeded Meda won over the 2nd seeded Peched to secure a finals showdown against the Breakers. The Breakers again pulled an upset win over Meda in the finals by 1 point to win the divisional championship award.
In division II, the 2nd seeded Surangel Suns also pulled an upset win over the undefeted Stingers to win their divisional championship award.
The Season Playoffs and Finals start on Tuesday May 16th. The top 20 teams out of the 23 teams that played this season will play a single elimination playoffs, the Season Finale will be a best of 3 series for the coveted Shell NBL Season Storyboard Trophy that has been circulated around the league for the past 4 seasons. The trophy rule is that whoever wins it 3 times will get to keep it and a new one will be carved. Previous winners are: Meda - 1, Islanders - 1, Rivals - 1, 4X4 Wheelers - 1.
