The 4th annual Pacific Sports Awards were presented at the Pacific Games Council's annual General Assembly held in Wallis Island from 18-19 October. It was a big year for New Caledonia taking out 3 of the 7 awards.

2019 Pacific Games Bids: Tonga Wins!

The Pacific Games Council has awarded the hosting rights for the 16th Pacific Games in 2019 to Tonga. By a vote of 16 to 6, the 22 Pacific Games Associations, who constitute the membership of the Pacific Games Council, voted in favour of Tonga over Tahiti Nui at the annual General Assembly held on Wallis Island from 18-19 October.

2013 Pacific Mini Games: Exciting International Competitions

The Pacific Games Council has completed negotiations with a number of international federations concerning the use of their sport's eligibility regulations at the 2013 Pacific Mini Games in Wallis & Futuna. Consequently, Rugby Sevens, Weightlifting and Sailing will be designated as official qualification or rankings events by their respective international federations.
