14th Pacific Games - New Caledonia 2011


The 14th Pacific Games were awarded to New Caledonia, who defeated Solomon Islands when bids were considered by the Council at the General Assembly held in Palau in July 2005.

The 2011 Pacific Games will have the maximum number of sports, 28, and these sports will be confirmed by the Organising Committee by August 2009.

NC2011 has constituted an Organising Committee, whose President is Pascale Bastien-Thiry and whose Vice President is Charles Cali (the President of CTOS, the host Pacific Games Association).  Philippe LePoul is the CEO of NC2011.

 

9th Pacific Mini Games - Wallis & Futuna 2013


At the Pacific Games Council General Assembly in Apia on 2 September 2007, Wallis & Futuna won unanimous endorsement to host the 9th edition of the Pacific Mini Games in 2013. 

15th Pacific Games - Papua New Guinea 2015


On 27 September 2009, at the Council's annual General Assembly in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea defeated Tonga by 25 votes to 22 to secure the rights to host the 15th Pacific Games in 2015.

2015 will mark the 40th anniversary of Papua New Guinea's independence, and the Games are sure to feature strongly in Papua New Guinea's celebrations in 2015.

2015 will mark the third occasion on which Papua New Guinea have hosted the Pacific Games, following earlier editions in 1969 and 1991.
