Laura Arnaud and Alexandra Heraclide from New Caledonia took on Priscilla Tommy and Anolyn Lulu from Vanuatu in the Gold medal match for the Women's Doubles.

Four Finals will be played and won today in the last day of the table tennis event of the 7th South Pacific Mini games in Koror, Palau. The Women's Doubles, Men's doubles, Women's Singles and Men's singles.

The top two seeded players are out of the Women's singles and the 4th seed has just scraped through.

In the morning today, Day 4 of the table tennis event, the early rounds of the Singles events were held. In both the Men's and Women's event there was only one major casualty when 8th seed in the men's singles Chen Lin Ying was knocked out early.

The doubles were played all the way until the final tonight here in Koror, Palau. The Palaun girls found some success and the Fijian boys went OHH so close to taking out the top seeded New Caledonian pair in the semi final.

The Mixed Doubles of the table tennis event was played and won today here in Koror Palau. It was delight for the Fijians taking their first table tennis gold medal in over 30 years at a South Pacific Games.

It was the final night here in the table tennis for the team's event at the 7th South Pacific Mini Games. It is the first time table tennis has been included in the mini South Pacific games and it was an extremely exciting night.

This morning the Vanuatu Womens team, favourite for the Gold medal were put under heavy pressure from a spirited Fijian Team.

In what was probably the deciding match of the Men's team event tonight here in Palau a thrilling match was played out between the more fancied New Caledonian team and the imposing experienced Guam team.

The New Caledonian Men's team and the Vanuatu Women's team show why they are the favourites for the gold.

The table tennis event at the 7th South Pacific Mini Games got underway this morning at the Ngarachamayong cultural centre in Koror, Palau.

The technical meeting date has changed. It will now be held at 6pm on Tuesday the 26th at the table tennis venue (The Ngarachemayong Cultural Centre). As well there has been slight change to the schedule.

So far we are expecting 48 men and 37 Women athletes from 12 and 9 Countries respectively, to take part in the Table Tennis Tournament at the 2005 Mini South Pacific Games.
