Robert Malcom Barlow, a founding member of Cricket The cricket community in Samoa is greatly saddened by the passing on Wednesday evening 29th September of Robert Malcom Barlow, a founding member of the Samoa International Cricket Association.

Bob was a prominent and highly respected lawyer who arrived from New Zealand to work for the Samoa Attorney General's Office with his wife Beverly and children Andrew, Vanessa and Scott in 1975. He was a partner in the law firm Kruse, Enari & Barlow. more -->

ROUND 4 - Afternoon Report The penultimate round of competition from the tranquil Faleata Cricket Complex saw dominant displays from PNG and Fiji under clear Pacific skies. Both teams are still undefeated in the round robin competition and will meet tomorrow in the final round in what will decide the gold and silver medals. ROUND 3 - Morning Report In the fist result of the day a disciplined Tonga proved too strong for a spirited and enthusiastic New Caledonia team. Winning the toss and electing to bat New Caledonia consistently lost wickets against a strong Tongan bowling line-up looking to put the disappointment of the nail biting loss to Samoa the previous day behind them. Cricket Volunteers: SPG More Than Just Sports Samoa has prepared for the 2007 South Pacific Games since 2003 and earlier. Samoa's preparations for the Games have involved substantial Government investment in infrastructure, sports and human development. The Games have not only involved substantial Government investment but indeed the investment of the Samoan people and community in the Games to make it a truly successful event. Now that the Games have arrived, the years of preparation and sacrifice which included substantial curbs on Government spending is reflected in the exceptional standard of the venues and the level of organisation being demonstrated at each sport. ROUND 1 - Morning Report STORM CLOUDS CLEAR FOR EXCITING PLAY IN THE FIRST DAY OF CRICKET.
After a magnificent display of Samoan culture and tradition at the opening ceremony on Saturday night followed by a rest day on Sunday, the storm clouds and rain over Apia cleared on cue at 9.30am for Samoa to take to the pitch against Fiji and the much favoured Papua New Guinea team to play Tonga. 5 Countries Confirm For SPG Samoa will meet up old rivals, PNG, Fiji, Tonga and Cook Islands in what will be a small but very competitive tournament during the 2007 South Pacific Games to be help in Apia Samoa.

A Tentative Draw has been posted and this will be finalised at the technical meeting to be held once all delegates have arrived for the competition.
