Phoebe Koriki Evans, just 15 years of age is from Norfolk Island and has played lawn bowls for the last three years at the Norfolk Bowling Club. Evans is having a good time here and is enjoying the chance to meet athletes and volunteers from Samoa and around the South Pacific.

Conditions of the bowling greens are marginal due to the heavy rain last night. Hopes are up that we won't have any more rain and wish for light winds to dry the greens.It is now the survival of the mentally fit to handle and adjust to the conditions.

PNG Team Eyes on Gold

THE Papua New Guinea men's bowling team have set their sights on reaping medals at the forthcoming South Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
The Games will be held from August 25 to September 8.

Bowls PNG president Pelik Sapul said as part of their leadup preparations towards the SP Games the men's lawn bowls team was undertaking an intensive one week tour of Far North Queensland starting next Wednesday....
