20/05/2013 - Seven PFAs to Play in 2013 Solomon Games

SIFF, the Solomon Islands Football Federation, reports that seven Provincial Football Associations (PFAs) are eligible to participate in the 2013 Solomon Games by meeting the deadline to confirm participation. 20/05/2013 - Kiribati's Te Runga 2013 Set

Te Runga, the Kiribati National Championships, will be held 21st Sept-5th Oct 2013. The last Te Runga,in 2010, had 2780 participants from 22 islands with 13 sports and 101 events. The Ministry of Internal and Social Affairs (Sports Ministry) reports that 2013 plans are underway and anticipates an even bigger event in 2013. To read more details online, click on 'more' below.

17/05/2013 - Rubgy 7s, Sailing, Weightlifting to be Qualifying Events

PINA reported today on the Pacific Games Council’s successful negotiations with the international federations for Rugby 7s, Sailing and Weightlifting on eligibility regulations use at the upcoming 2013 Pacific Mini Games in Wallis & Futuna. 13/05/2013 - Uni Netball/Rugby Competition Held in Samoa

On 27th April, the University Sports of Samoa Association held a mixed Netball and 10 a side Rugby tournament for uni students in Samoa. Some 150 students on 16 teams from National University of Samoa, Oceania University of Medicine and the University of the South Pacific's Alafua Campus participated. 06/05/2013 - Solomon Islands 2013 Kurukuru Team First Cut

Solomon Islands Soccer head coach Dickson Kadau has chosen 20 players in the first cut for the 2013 Kurukuru team. The players have two months to earn a place on the Kurukuru team for the 2013 Oceania Football Confederation Futsal Championship. 29/04/2013 - 2013 ZKC Email International Wrestling Tournament

Paul Coffa, Secretary General of the Oceania Weightlifting Federation (OWF), has announced a change of date for the 2013 ZKC EMAIL INTERNATIONAL CLUB WEIGHTLIFTING TOURNAMENT. It will be held July 26-28, 2013. A unique concept, the tournament will be held internationally in weightlifting clubs in each country 'without any expense whatsoever.' 26/04/2013 - Athletics Statistician Visits OSIC

ATFS Statistician Bob Snow visited the OSIC Office this week during his visit to Fiji. A native of Australia and long-time resident of PNG and other island countries, Snow has been active in Athletics and Athletics statistics keeping for decades. He has generously donated copies of his work to OSIC for safekeeping and use in responding to requests for Oceania Athletics results and statistics.

04/09/2012 – Delana wins Fiji's First Paralympic Gold Medal!

Iliesa Delana, Fiji's Men's High Jump Paralympian, has secured his nation's first-ever gold medal with an outstanding jump of 1.74m at the London 2012 Paralympics. The Gold Medalist dedicated his win to the people of Fiji.
