Oceania Olympic visit - London 2012
The second day of the ONOC Secretaries General Meeting focussed on the forthcoming Olympiad 2009 - 2012. The meeting reviewed the recommendations of the Olympic Solidarity Commission and discussed a proposed budget for the 2009 - 2012 Olympiad. ONOC is to receive a 35% increase in funding for its continental programmes which will be administered out of the ONOC Solidarity office in Suva. The meeting decided to continue with the programmes initiated in the 2008 budget and is providing increased funding to NOC infrastructure development and provide support for the preparation and qualification of athletes for the 2010 Olympic Youth Games in Singapore, the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
