This is the home page for Hockey Metro, the competition for hockey in Metropolitan Adelaide conducted by Hockey SA and administered by the Hockey Metro Executive (HME) and its various sub-committees.

This site contains all of the results and administrative information in regard to the Metro Competition. Information and other services provided by Hockey SA may be found at their web site http://www.hockeysa.com.au/.

This site uses the content manager provided by Sporting Pulse. You can navigate around the web site by using the Menu Bars at the top and sides of the various pages. The advertising Content is beyond our control. You may need to "join" in order to see detailed results or other information.

Summer Hockey

All of the summer hockey fixtures are available.

Please note that:

  • Team Managers have been sent their codes for entering the results
  • All players that participate must be entered on HockeyNet - that means they must be registered with the Club that nominated the team
  • Teams must provide their own umpires (except Veterans)

1.1 Hot Weather

Summer Hockey - includes all Metropolitan Hockey SA fi xture games

Please access the following website for all Metropolitan Hockey SA fi xture games

For games scheduled to start 6.10pm or earlier

If the current temperature as published on weather.com.au at 1pm is 36 degrees or higher your match will be CANCELLED.

If the current temperature as published on weather.com.au is between 32 degrees and 36 degrees matches will be played as 4 quarters.

For games scheduled to start later than 6.10pm

Please check the current Adelaide temperature on weather.com.au 2 hours prior to the schedued start of your match. If the current temperature as published on weather.com.au is bewteen 31 degrees and 35 degrees matches will be played as 4 quarters.

If the current temperature as published on weather.com.au 2 hours prior to the schedued start of your match is 35 degrees or higher your match will be CANCELLED.

22 November 2009 - School Game Development Program Meeting

27 November 2009 - Senior Team nominations due

27 November 2009 - Junior Team nominations due

27 November 2009 - Summer Series B nominations close

TBA January 2010 - Facilities sub-committee meeting

27 January 2010 - Grading sub-committee meeting

31 January 2010 - Last date for Senior team withdrawal without penalty

3 February 2010 - Hockey Metro Executive Meeting

General Competition Information

The Adelaide Metropolitan Competition is conducted in several divisions.

  • Premier League
  • Metro
  • Veterans
  • Metro Grass
  • Juniors

There are 9 Premier League Clubs - Adelaide, Adelaide University, Burnside, Forestville, Grange Royals, North East, Port Adelaide, Seacliff, Woodville.Premier League consists of:

  • Male - 1 division with 9 teams
  • Female - 1 division with 9 teams

There are a further 11 Clubs competing in the Metro Competitions - Adelaide Hills, Annesley OSC, Blackwood, Enfield, Flinders University, PGC/Seymour OCA, Prince Alfred OC, Pultney OS, St Peters OC, Univsersity of SA, Westminster.

The Metro grades have:

  • Male - 6 divisions with 57 teams
  • Female - 5 divisions with 50 teams
  • Veteran Men - 2 divisions with 14 teams
  • Metro Grass Women - 1 division with 7 teams

10 Clubs field teams in the junior competition - Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, Burnside, Forestville, Grange Royals, North East, Port Adelaide, Seacliff, Woodville, Yorkes.

  • Male - U18A/U18B/U15A/U15B/U13 - 34 teams
  • Female - U18/U15/U13 - 25 teams
  • Mixed - U11/U9 - 23 teams
