2009 QRL Summer Camp QRL will be again conducting a Summer Camp in Toowoomba from 14 to 18 December 2009 for players aged Under 13 to Under 16 in 2010.

JOHN "Cracker" McDonald was pleased to announce an increase of 2500 in junior numbers this year when the Queensland Rugby League board met in Warwick on Friday and Saturday.

"The increase in numbers means more volunteers are needed," McDonald said.

"While junior numbers are up to 40,541, senior numbers are down one per cent to 13,954." more -->

Tell us about your playing career.

It was very inauspicious. I played in Toowoomba, where I was born, for three years between 1973 and 1975, and that included a game against the touring Great Britain side in 1974. I then moved on to captain/coach Dalby Brothers, and then had a spell as a player at Rockhampton Brothers. I also played a lot of Touch, playing for Queensland and Australia. more -->
