KBA receives Get Going Clubs Grant for 2017
KBA is very happy to announce we have been successful in our application for a grant through the Get Going Clubs scheme round 5. The Queensland Government has provided $2963 to Kingaroy Basketball to purchase a variety of training equipment to support basketball in Kingaroy and to increase Queenslanders participation in sport and recreation activities.
Late in 2016 the committee completed the grant request for basketball training equipment totalling nearly $3000 to cater for the growing number of under 18 players joining our club. From 2014 to 2016 our club has seen a 30% increase in junior members. Due to this increase in numbers the equipment grant will be used to purchase new balls, training bibs, court boards, ball trolleys and ball storage bags during 2017.
