Guam 18U drubs CNMI 18U, 8-2
CNMI 18U didn't have a chance on Sunday, as Guam 18U won in blowout fashion, 8-2 in seven innings at Paseo Stadium, Guam.
Guam 18U scored three runs in the fifth on a passed ball, a wild pitch, and an RBI single by Kin Jr. Fernandez
Fernandez racked up four RBIs on three hits for Guam 18U.
Nicholas Cruz handled CNMI 18U's lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Guam 18U's pitcher allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over seven innings.
Leroy Regis was steady at the plate for CNMI 18U. Regis went 2-3 and drove in one. Regis singled in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.
Guam 18U went up for good in the second, scoring one run on a walk by Jonathon Mayo
Guam 18U increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. A single by Fernandez ignited the offense,, plating Mayo. That was followed up by that scored Polly-Card Jr. Luther
