The inaugural event returns after three years with FSA 2022 also reflecting the achievements from preceding two years (2020 & 2021).

 

While various national sporting bodies have submitted nominations under respective categories, Basketball Fiji will be proudly represented under five of these. Chief Operating Officer Laisiasa Puamau confirms “We have submitted five nominations. These are under the categories of Volunteer of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Technical Official of the Year, Sports Team of the Year and Organization of the Year.”

 

He adds that “It’s always important to recognize the efforts of our athletes, officials, administrators, volunteers and all those who are working diligently behind the scenes. The award is a good morale booster for those who have contributed to the development of sports and an encouragement to those who have the potential and wish to be nominated in the future.”

 

While the Federation nominees deserves special commendation for the amazing work they do within the sport, Puamau extends these praises to all FSA nominees saying, “On behalf of the executives and Basketball Fiji president, Maj Gen (Ret’d) Iowane Naivalurua, we wish to congratulate all of the nominees for what they have achieved throughout the years, their tireless efforts and especially for their support and contribution towards the growth of sports in the country.”
