Ambassador for Gender Equality engaged with Basketball PNG

Promoting leadership, gender equality, nonviolence, and community involvement ideals and life skills is a terrific way to use the Basketball for Good campaign.

Athletes and sports are valuable resources for advancing causes and fostering constructive sociocultural change.

During her tour to Papua New Guinea, the Federation is honoured to have Ms. Copus Campbell, Ambassador for Gender Equality, participate in the basketball for good programme, "I am girl/mi Pikinini Meri." The program's goal is to establish a secure environment for education with a focus on disability and gender.

The Australian government is dedicated to promoting gender equality for all women and girls, not only those who participate in sports.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
