On Friday 09/03/12, the Kiribati Basketball Federation was initiating the meeting with school reps commencing from 5pm.  According to the main discussion in the meeting of agenda, the federation come up with important ideas which is to built the linkage more appropriate and effectively within schools especially for the upcoming huge championship.

The purpose of the meeting is the preparation for the upcoming U12 and U15 Championship boys and girls which will be requires the good timing and decision making before the day comes.  In attendance, there are 5 reps from school who were attending the meeting including, Bik-East, SeaBee, Dai Nippon, Taken Bairiki and Moroni.  There has to  be 12 Primary Schools and 6 JSS expected to be attending the meeting who have been informed by NBDO but couldn't make an effort to show up as transport/buses are always full.  The Federation will be circulating the minute of meeting to schools in order for them to be aware and prepare themselves with their teams before the competition start.

According to the game format, the competition will be start in one time by marching through the court representing their schools, speech from sponsors and President will be then declares the competition is to start.  The main court to be use in the competition are Bairiki court, Sport complex and Moroni court.
