Coaches Report-Rd.10 vs Casey Cavaliers
It was satisfying getting back on the winners list last week after a great 2nd half performance saw us run out convincing 30 pt winners over the Camberwell Dragons.
We were well led by Matt Bartlett & Reggie Fuller who also received great support from 3 of our younger brigade Bailey Michel, Nick Dodd & Gabe Evans during a pivotal 23-0 3rd quarter run which effectively put the result beyond doubt.
However our opponent this week in Casey will be a much more difficult proposition considering the amount of talent this team has been able to assemble this season. They currently sit 3rd on the ladder with a healthy 9-2 win/loss record and will be full of confidence after easily accounting for us in our previous encounter back in round 5.
The Cavaliers have an abundance of players with SEABL level experience such as Mitch Chapman, Ben Louis, Matt Witherden & James Deneefe as well as former NBL player Brent Hobba. They will be a formidable team to combat tonight whilst we continue to negotiate player unavailability and injuries.
We are certainly looking forward to the challenge of competing against one of the best teams in the competition and will be determined to take the game right up to them.
