Coaching Panel for the 2017/2018 Season

The GSBA Board have now ratified the members of the Coaching Panel for the 2017/2018 Season.

We welcome the following Panel members: -

Owen McCarron (Chair)

Owen is going into his second season as Chair of the Panel.  His background as both a player and coaching at Representativelevel bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the group.

Siv Onley

Siv has been on the Panel since its inception 2 years ago, now going into her third season.  Her background is in Human Resource Management.

Steve Nioa

Steve is new to the Panel, but not new to basketball or being involved with Shepparton Gators.  We welcome Steve back and look forward to his valuable input.

Kylie Doyle

Kylie is returning to the Coaching Panel after having a season off with family commitments.  Kylie’s experience as a player, coach and administrator at both Representative and Domestic level make her an asset to the Panel.

Luke McBain

Luke is new to the Panel, however he has been involved with basketball in Shepparton over a number of years.  Luke has played at Representative level and more recently has been involved with assistant coaching of several Junior Gators teams.

Charles Moffatt

Charles is new to the Panel this season. Charles has children involved in basketball at a junior level.  He has been a player and coach at a Regional level and his employment background and experience will bring a new perspective to the Panel.

Tony Long

Tony has been a member of the Panel since its inception 2 years ago.  This season Tony is involved in a non-voting capacity/GSBA employee role.  Tony provides a valuable link between the GSBA Board, data and members.  He is also very well informed regarding BVC matters.

We thank the past Panel members for their service over the past 2 years.  Their input in getting the Panel running from the ground up has been outstanding and has assisted in steering our Junior Program in a positive direction.  Special thanks go to Chris Judd who was instrumental in developing the Skills Matrix and Coaching Philosophy.

Regards,

Siv Onley
