Bartlett, who leads his Shepparton Gators Division 1 Men’s team each week as captain, will don the Country All Stars jersey in yet another achievement of a storied career.

 

Bartlett played all of his junior basketball with Shepparton in the VJBL, before venturing out to Darebin (U/20’s) and Bendigo (SEABL) to ply his trade. He then found his way back home to represent the Gators in the Big V competition since 2014.

 

Leigh Bathman will steer Bartlett and the Country Men’s All Star team after being named Head Coach of the team.

 

Bathman, the Division 1 Men Coach of the Year in 2015 will take the reigns of a very strong looking Country Men’s All Star team as the biggest rivalry in the state is on display for one night only.

 

Coaches always play a major role in the development of players and clubs as a whole, and Bathman will look to showcase those selected players on his team that are taking part in the Big V Origin All Star Series as an achievement in their own right.

 

June 11 at the Shepparton Sports Stadium will be headlined by an Origin double header, with the Women’s All Star Game tipping off at 6pm, before the Men’s All Star Game starts at 8pm. A Dunk Contest and Three Point Shootout will also take place at half time of these games.
