Home to olympic and international cyclists such as Tracey Gaudry, Michael Rogers and Matt Hayman it is only fitting that Canberra be serviced by a number of high quality cycling clubs.
For the purist road riders Canberra Cycling Club, Vikings Cycling Club and ACT Veterans' Cycling Club offer supportive training atmospheres, bunch rides, and racing for riders of all levels, that is challenging, fun and friendly.
Recreational and family riders of all ages are catered for by Pedal Power. For the triathletes Females In Training, Canberra Bilby's and Viking's Triathlon Club also provide training opportunities. One of the most popular bunch rides departs the Bike Shed in Phillip, from Monday to Friday at 6 am, for a training ride around the Canberra suburbs. Each ride takes a different route and the pace and intensity varies - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday bring challenging pacelines, hills and sprints. Allow a little over an hour for the ride - but don't forget to factor in at least another 45 mins for coffee!!
