The worm may finally be turning for North Footscray. After a few tough seasons that involved a winless 2013 and relegation from Division One, co-coaches Shaun Borlase and Matt Walsh have compiled a list to challenge the best.
Glen Orden’s consistency over a number of seasons has stamped them one of the sides most feared in this competition. When these two sides met in April 2014, the Hawks cantered to a 72-point win. Twelve months later the turnaround is astonishing, as the Devils climbed into the top four with a dominant 51-point win in a firey encounter that regularly threatened to spill over.

DIVISION TWO RESERVES:

Although the weather bureau predicted a storm to visit Howqua Road Reserve last Saturday afternoon, it was clear skies in round two as Yarraville Seddon chalked up its first win against Manor Lakes.
Leading the charge for most of the game, the Storm thought they were sitting comfortably yet the Eagles turned it up a gear in the third term, booting five goals to the Storm’s two.

DIVISION TWO UNDER 18s

Sanctuary Lakes were never going to have an easy opening match after their first round bye when they travelled to Newport to take on last year’s grand finalists.
It was a competitive first half of football as the visitors remained in touch with the Power at half time, trailing by just four goals.
