Weekly Wrap - A couple of former Harbour standouts shine in an OT battle.

Our Weekly Wrap reviews the performances of our overseas based players and we also have news of yet another rep player that has obtained a scholarship to attend a college in America. Did you know that currently there are 26 former Harbour reps on basketball scholarships in the USA?

Unusually three Harbour players were involved in the same NCAA Division I game as the University of Portland entertained St Mary’s College, California on Monday night.

It was St Mary’s and Tayla Dalton that prevailed over Emme Shearer and Flo Dallow with a 73-67 overtime – the two seniors influential for their respective teams. Tayla added 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks to 10 points while Emme, her former Harbour teammate, filled the stats line with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and a customary pair of steals.

Late last week, despite St Mary’s being beaten by Gonzaga, the number one ranked team in the West Coast Conference, Tayla came up with a fine individual performance. The Tall Ferns guard scored a team high 17 points (7/11FG) in the 89-60 loss.
