ASPIRATIONS IN FOOTBALL
Pretty simple! To continue to learn and develop so I can be best coach I can be for my given team. I think I have the best of both worlds at the moment. I love working with Gary Ayres at the Port Melbourne Football Club, and then taking what I learn from there and giving back to the girls through the AFL VIC VWFL Academy and State Girls sides.
FAVOURITE AFL COACH AND WHY
I really do not have one. I have a lot of respect for all coaches. I think the Scott Brothers are a class act on many levels.
HOW YOU RATE YOUR STATE TEAM’S CHANCES
We are very excited about the team going to Cairns. We have lost loads of experience and are sending a very young group over. So the opportunity for these girls is enormous and we as a state and a coaching group are looking forward to see how they perform at the next level. We believe they can go and represent Victoria in the trademark manner in which Victorians do and that is why they have been selected. They have fantastic role models in the older girls in the side and our leadership is outstanding. Having said that, the opposition every year develops at an enormous rate so we will definitely have to be the best we can be, but would expect nothing less anyway.
WHAT IS IT YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT COACHING FEMALE FOOTBALLERS
Their passion for game is infectious. I love the way they listen, appreciate, encourage and respond.
