More Coast kids in State action

The growth of talented AFL players on the North Coast and Mid North Coast continues with a record number of selections in the Northern Heat Under 13 and Under 14 teams for the JOSS State Zone Trails in Albury during the recent school holidays.

The northern Heat, once traditionally dominated by players from Newcastle and Central Coast is now becoming dominated by players from further north as the growth of the game is reflected in the number of emerging talented players.

Sixteen coastal players were selected in the teams to battle against the remaining six zones from all areas of NSW. This includes an unprecedented ten of the twenty-four selected players in the Under 13 team.

The Under 13 team was accompanied by AFL Development Manager Danny McFadden who acted as an Assistant Coach for the Under 13 team.
