Juniors to hit the ground running
The AFL North Coast Juniors will be looking to continue their recent dominance in their representative fixture against AFL Northern Rivers this Sunday at Richardson Park, Sawtell.
The two leagues will be fighting it out for the annual Mike Kenny Memorial Shield, and the youngsters from the Far North Coast are promising to bring down strong teams in all grades.
The North Coast side won the shield last year up at Ballina, by the way of a strong win in the Under 16s decider.
Local supporters are encouraged to get down on Sunday to see the best local junior talent strut their stuff, as word is aloof the performances of a few players will be scrutinised by scouts from down south.
Full canteen facilities are available and entry is free.
Times for the games are as follows:
Under 12s- 10am
Under 14s- 11.30am
Under 16s- 1pm
