Essendon set to descend on Coffs
The Essendon Football Club will be in Coffs Harbour next week as part of their 2009 Pre-Season Camp. They will be accessible to the public, through:
- An Open Training Session at Novotel Pacific Bay Resort on Friday 19th December, from 8.30am
- Elite Training Clinic set to be held on Saturday 20th December.
The Clinic will also be run at the Novotel Pacific Bay Resort (Wallabies Training Centre) from 2pm to 5pm and is aimed at promoting the code in the area and identifying future talent as part of the AFL Scholarship Program.
The AFL Scholarship Program has seen talented athletes from ages 15 to 17; receive financial support and personal development with an AFL club.
This special clinic will involve a skills session for elite juniors in the region, as well as a coaching seminar and information session for local coaches and parents.
AFL Northern NSW Regional Manager, Shane McAloon, supports the initiative and encourages the local community to participate.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for both footballers and coaches to receive expert tuition from a professional sporting organisation,” McAloon said.
Bookings are essential and need to be made by Friday 12th December to Merv Keane (Essendon Recruitment Coordinator) on mkeane@essendonfc.com.au
Don't miss out on this invaluable opportunity.
