North Coast whitewashed by northern rivals

The North Coast were defeated in all three matches at Ballina and lost their stranglehold of the Mike Kenny Memorial Shield to the Far North Coast.

The Fripp Oval surface resembled a mudbath and it was obvious that North Coast were unable to handle the foreign conditions with the Under 12s and Under 14s beaten soundly by their opponents.

The Under 16s was a much more competitive match with the Far North Coast particularly strong in the third quarter in a topsy-turvy affair.

All players battled manfully but faced much more stiff competition this year.

Congratulations to the Far North Coast, with all biding well for a competitive series next year at home.
